Summary/Objective
The Help Desk Support Specialist is responsible for providing support and technical assistance to Evans General Contractors, LLC’s (Evans) employees and will join Evans’ growing IT Department. The Help Desk Support Specialist will be responsible for answering requests and addressing system and user issues in a timely and professional manner.
Duties and Responsibilities
- Monitor and respond promptly to incoming requests related to IT issues
- Maintain ticket system with a clear record of activities for every incident reported to IT
- Provide clear communication and guidance to users during incidents and throughout resolution of the issue(s)
- Diagnosing system errors and other issues
- Remotely accessing hardware or software for clients to make changes and fix problems
- Install and troubleshoot peripheral devices such as printers, scanners and mobile/smart phones
- Maintain installed PCs, networks, telephone systems and peripherals with routine maintenance
- Identify, log and resolve technical problems with software applications or network systems
- Ensure that work is carried out within agreed service levels and in accordance with the IT Department Guidelines
- Ownership of the new hire process – building computers through InTune, following and updating New Hire build process
- Escalate issues as needed to ensure their prompt resolution
- Ability to prioritize workflow independently
- Follow all IT Department standards and checklists
- Other responsibilities as assigned
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s Degree in Information Technology or equivalent experience (at least three years) preferred
- Excellent customer service skills
- Ability to communicate clearly and effectively
- Excellent problem solving and troubleshooting skills
- Experience with the following systems as an administrator is preferred:
- Office 365
- Azure admin experience
- Windows 11 setup, maintenance and troubleshooting
- InTune configuration familiarity
- Microsoft certification in one of the following is preferred:
- Windows 11
- Office 365
- Azure
- InTune
