Job Overview
We are seeking a highly skilled Estimating Manager to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in construction estimating and project management, with a strong ability to negotiate contracts and control costs. Duties
- Develop and maintain estimating processes and standards to enhance efficiency and accuracy.
- Collaborate with owner to gather necessary information for cost estimation.
- Utilize software tools for preparing detailed estimates, including labor, materials, equipment, and overhead costs.
- Analyze blueprints, specifications, proposals, and other documentation to prepare time, cost, materials, and labor estimates.
- Negotiate pricing with subcontractors and suppliers to secure the best possible rates for projects.
- Conduct regular reviews of project costs against estimates to identify variances and implement corrective actions as needed.
- Provide support during the bidding process by preparing bid proposals and presenting estimates to clients.
Qualifications
- Proven experience in construction estimating with a solid understanding of cost control principles.
- Strong project management skills with the ability to lead teams effectively.
- Proficiency in construction estimating software.
- Excellent negotiation skills with a track record of securing favorable contract terms.
- In-depth knowledge of construction management practices and methodologies.
- Strong analytical skills with attention to detail in evaluating project requirements.
- Ability to communicate effectively with team members, clients, and subcontractors.
- A degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or a related field is preferred but not mandatory.
