Extended School Year (ESY) is a Special Education program for students with disabilities whose IEP team has determined that in order to minimize substantial regression and reduce substantial recoupment time, a student is required to attend ESY. These services will be based upon the individual needs of the students per their IEP goals/objectives.
5 Licensed staff positions with an Early Childhood or Elementary PEL
3 Licensed staff positions with an Early Childhood or Elementary PEL and a Bilingual Spanish Endorsement
Role Responsibility:
Lead instruction for up to 12 students using a modified Creative Curriculum. Gather baseline and end-of-summer data using the JEH Data Collection Tool. Classes may include up to 2 inclusion students. A paraprofessional will support inclusion students.
Program Details: Orientation Dates: June 12 & 13 (Thursday & Friday)
Program Dates: June 16, 2025 - July 17, 2025 (no school June 19 and July 4th)
Days of the Week: Monday - Thursday
Hours: 8:30 a.m. - 12 p.m.
Location: JEH Early Childhood Center
Stipend: $3,800 ($2,300 student contact hours, $400 Orientation, $700 Daily Planning, and $400 Professional Responsibilities)
