Role Definition :
The Assistant Construction H & S Coordinators primary role is to assist the Construction Health & Safety Manager with all aspects of construction safety & health management.
Responsibilities :
1. Promote value-based safety to construction field teams.
2. Provide leadership and assist in management of all aspects of safety & health at multiple construction projects, ensuring regulatory compliance with company H&S requirements by employees and subcontractors.
3. Assist in planning and execution of corporate and project Safety & Health initiatives in order to ensure a safe, healthy, and incident-free workplace.
4. Setup employees for pre-access requirements required by client specifications.
5. Prepare all necessary documentation required by OSHA and Client specification.
6. Conduct periodic safety audits and document corrective actions.
7. Conduct accident investigations and prepare reporting in accordance with the Client and company requirements, maintain OSHA 300 logs or equivalents.
8. Assist in maintaining company compliance with Third-Party Prequalification Providers such as ISNetworld®, Avetta, Veriforce, Highwire, etc.
9. Complete required safety information for Client pre-qualification questionnaires and / or documentation.
10. Assist in reviewing and clarifying bid documents for project safety requirements.
11. Assist in selecting and pre-qualifying subcontractors for work on projects.
12. Coordinate and maintain company compliance with GHS standards.
13. Maintain & update employee safety training database.
14. Assist in the evaluation & maintenance of fall protection equipment.

Minimum Requirements
1. Extensive knowledge of Construction Safety Standards, including 29 CFR 1926
2. One (1) year Health and Safety experience on construction projects
3. Bachelor’s degree in health and safety, Engineering, or Construction Management
4. Proficient in Windows-based platform and basic computer skills.
5. Ability to travel up to 25% of the year for completion of audits & to fulfill field staffing needs.
