Evapco, Inc., an employee owned company, is currently seeking a People Operations Generalist for our 350 employee manufacturing sites located in Taneytown, MD.
Position Summary
The People Operations Generalist serves as a trusted advisor and business partner with the Shop Leadership Team in the planning, development, implementation and evaluation of HR plans to support business goals while maintaining a strong employee ownership culture. This role will coach and advise all levels of employees, so they are fully capable and accountable to own, improve and accelerate business results and culture.
Responsibilities
- Lead the establishment and implementation of HR programs, particularly in the areas of employee engagement, employee development, wellness, recruiting / selection and training.
- Continuously optimize our work environment to ensure a safe, engaged and productive employee base.
- Promotes a cooperative and harmonious environment that facilitates positive employee morale, productivity, and continued improvement.
- Provides education and assistance to supervisors regarding timekeeping questions, including various forms of employee leave (vacation, FMLA, short term disability, etc.).
- Leads the recruitment process by sourcing candidates, screening candidates, coordinating interviews, assisting at onsite and offsite hiring events or career fairs, and managing offer letters.
- Supervise the coordination and facilitation of new employee onboarding, ensuring a smooth transition into the company.
- Help organize employee events and recognition programs to foster a positive company culture.
