What are the responsibilities and job description for the Moldmaker / Tool Maker - Injection Molding position at EVCO PLASTICS?
SUMMARY
- 5 years experience with Sinker EDM setup, operating, and electrode modeling
- Understanding of Sinker EDM theory and practices
- Ability to setup machine and work pieces during day to utilize machine on off hours.
- Ability to read detailed engineering drawings
- Analytical skills and mechanical aptitude
- Self-motivated team player with a positive attitude
- Organizational skills and maintain good attendance
- Construct new tooling from mechanical drawings and/or CAD files.
- Troubleshoot to determine the cause of problems associated with injections molds and perform repairs as needed.
- Set up machine tools and operate various tool room machines and equipment, making necessary computations.
- Work with models, mechanical drawings or other written/oral specifications.
- Perform mold changeovers.
QUALIFICATIONS Candidates should have experience in a mold facility
- Well-rounded training in machine shop and tool room practices (acquired through a formal apprenticeship program or equivalent training and experience)
- 5 years’ experience in plastic injection mold making
- Ability to read detailed engineering drawings
- Analytical skills, mechanical aptitude and PC experience a must
