Overview
The Practice Manager at Evelina Plastic Surgery plays a critical role in managing the business operations, patient services, and staff. Reporting to the plastic surgeon, this individual will be responsible for overseeing personnel, financial performance, marketing efforts, and clinical workflow to ensure efficiency, growth, and an outstanding patient experience.
Responsibilities
Operations & Business Management
- Ensure smooth day-to-day practice operations, optimizing scheduling and patient flow
- Oversee financial policies, billing, and revenue cycle management in collaboration with the CFO
- Maintain compliance with HIPAA, medical regulations, and practice policies
- Work closely with IT vendors to ensure seamless technology and EMR functionality
- Manage facility operations, including vendor contracts, office supplies, and medical equipment
Team Leadership & HR
- Hire, train, and supervise business and clinical staff
- Conduct performance evaluations, manage payroll, and oversee employee schedules
- Foster a positive and professional team culture, ensuring high morale and engagement
- Lead monthly staff meetings and implement employee incentive programs
- Develop and update job descriptions, salary structures, and HR policies
Surgical Coordination & Patient Experience
- Guide patients through surgical counseling, financial policies, and scheduling
- Ensure seamless pre-op and post-op coordination with providers and staff
- Maintain professional before-and-after patient photo documentation
- Monitor patient satisfaction and retention rates, identifying areas for improvement
Marketing & Growth Strategy
- Oversee practice marketing efforts, including social media, referral programs, and patient outreach
- Track conversion rates of consultations to surgeries, implementing strategies for improvement
- Organize special events, community engagement, and branding initiatives
- Collaborate with external agencies for SEO, digital advertising, and print campaigns
Experience
Candidates should possess the following qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree required (Business, Experience in Healthcare management in related field
- Master’s degree preferred
- Proven success in staff supervision, financial management, and patient relations
- Hands-on experience with medical scheduling, insurance, and billing systems
