And you will support the buying team and report to the VP of Purchasing Operations.

YOUR ROLE: PURCHASING OPERATIONS MANAGER
As Purchasing Operations Manager (Salaried/Exempt), you will be accountable for management and executional aspects of operations within the Purchasing Department; including development and management of processes supporting data integrity and daily operational tasks from item set up to payment. You will lead the Merchandise Coordinators in day-to-day support with vendors, stores and/or training. You will take on additional projects necessary based on business priorities. And you will support the buying team and report to the VP of Purchasing Operations.
WHAT YOU’LL DO:
Business
- Manage the business impact of processes both internally and externally with our vendors as well as operational issues within the Purchasing team
- Support Merchandise Coordinators to maintain reasonable execution timelines in resolution: supporting our stores and buyers with flow of product
- Monitor processes in place and daily operational tasks' impact to the business (invoice discrepancies, damages, booking orders, store challenges via our KACE System) and maintain consistency in communication both with the director and the team
- Ownership of data integrity, process development, identification of needs and IT/IS program support
- Management and support of workload and project distribution for execution by the Merchandise Coordinators
- Identify needs within purchasing processes for improvement and lead development
- Create, manage and facilitate training, documentation for process implementation and support with new and current employees
- Assist with executional aspects of high priority business projects as needed
- Foster strong relationships with Internal team members and vendors to effectively manage communication of product needs and plans
- Lead store transitions and support physical inventories
- Monitor inventory movement and scrubbing supporting store transitions and physical inventory
- Initiate and maintain updates to purchasing operations (hierarchy, damages, booking orders, discrepancies, ICMS, on order report, etc.)
- Direct support for inter-departments impacting operations; accounting and store operations - maintain scheduled meetings to maintain communication and resolution
- Weekly support of IT/IS with testing and project management
- Partner with Director of Procurement and Logistics on purchasing ownership within claim support, transfers, SSC shipping room and Red Hawk warehouse
- System analysis and research to support audits and data integrity
- 2 years in retail as Merchandise Coordinator, Assistant Buyer, Store Planning, or Allocation
- Strong organizational and communication skills, resourceful, high attention to detail, proactive and a fast learner
- Excellent knowledge of Microsoft Excel, Word, Power Point and Outlook
- Reliable and accountable to produce work efficiently and accurately
- Team player with leadership in relationship building and interpersonal skills
