Summary: Working under the supervision of the CFO, the Senior Accountant will maintain financial reports, records, and general ledgers. This team member will also perform general bookkeeping and be responsible for coordinating, planning, and reporting financial activities, while assisting with Accounts Receivable collections and Accounts Payable processing.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Assist the CFO with the day-to-day, monthly, and year-end operations of the Accounting/Finance Department.
- Assist the CFO with processing monthly accruals, amortization of prepaid expenses, fixed assets depreciation, and recording of adjusting and reclassification journal entries.
- Perform general accounts analysis and reconciliations, including fixed assets, employer’s benefit costs, accruals, and prepaid expenses.
- Reconcile the corporate Bank Statements.
- Assist the CFO with preparing and analyzing the monthly budget/forecast to actual variance reports.
- Assist with the preparation of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements.
- Gather and maintain supporting schedules for audit requests and tax return preparation.
- Assist with Accounts Receivable collections.
- Assist with Accounts Payable processing invoices and reconciling vendor statements.
- Answer accounting and financial questions by researching and interpreting data.

- Perform additional duties as required.

Qualifications and Requirements:
- 5 years proven accounting experience.
- Bachelor's degree in accounting or finance preferred.
- Advanced knowledge of basic math skills: fractions, percentages, and ratios.
- Bachelor's degree in accounting or finance preferred.
- Ability to multi-task, prioritize, and manage time effectively.
- Ability to use Microsoft productivity software such as Excel and Word.
- Knowledge of Sage 100 accounting software is preferred.
- Excellent customer service skills.
- Detail-oriented and able to keep accurate records.
- Must pass company drug screening and background check.
- Must be able to lift up to 25 lbs.
- Completion of Behavioral and Cognitive Assessments through the Predictive Index.
- Successful completion of company background check and drug screen.
