Role Requirements
· This a working LEAD position, primary responsibilities include using various methods of fabrication and metal cutting equipment. Weld pieces of material together by using either MIG or TIG welding. Will also grind welds, pieces, or shear edges with power grinder. Will be trained to run to shears, CNC, drill press, various metal cutters.
· Demonstrates a positive attitude and a willingness to support teammates.
· Demonstrates the ability to be self-managed, actively engaged with production work until other responsibilities emerge.
· Responsible for coordinating and executing training for new team members, acting as a “buddy” during orientation.
· Demonstrates strong product knowledge, with the ability to produce efficiently (understands the target output).
· Utilizes design drawings to ensure engineering standards and quality expectations are met.
· Supports the team supervisor by coordinating production schedules with work center team members.
· Works with team to maintain clean and organized workspace.
· Supports team supervisor by recognizing performance issues and communicating as needed to ensure positive team performance.
· Leads by example.
· Forklift training is required.
· Must have excellent attendance.
