JOB SUMMARY
Responsible for the accuracy and timeliness of the production process. Duties include a specific focus on the materials and goods required in production.
BASIC RESPONSIBILITIES
Identify and drive initiative to implement Lean work areas by reviewing, writing and improving processes on all levels.
· Collaborate with leadership to develop a plant continuous improvement roadmap and training program that improves business metrics.
· Assist site management in any strategic initiative that will help in compliance to standards, implementing new continuous improvement/quality systems, and designing creative solutions that will continuously improve the plant.
· Maintain reports for production planning activities and sequence work centers.
· Coordinate production operations in accordance with material, labor, and equipment availability.
· Analyze back orders, current orders, and upcoming orders to prioritize, plan, and schedule the production operations.
· Communicate production status to customer service on a regular basis.
· Create and review shop packets and MRP reports prior to production to assure material availability and expedite shortages.
· Manage deadlines based on release completion expectations.
· Confer with production personnel to resolve problems affecting production schedules.
· Perform shop order file maintenance due to material changes, order quantity changes, or routing changes.
· Maintain proper material requirements for manufacturing orders and assure material issues are corrected on work orders.
· Support other team members as needed.
· Work with purchasing and feeder departments to expedite any required items needed to achieve the production schedule.
· Perform duties as assigned by management.

Educational Requirements / Experience:
· Associate degree or equivalent years of related work experience.
· Minimum Six Sigma Green Belt Certificate preferred
· Working knowledge and experience in MRP and experience in a systems-oriented production and inventory environment.
· Possess good analytical and problems solving skills.
· Exceptional verbal and written communication skills.
· Excellent time management skills with the ability to multitask.
· Ability to read drawings and bills of materials.
· Proficiency in Microsoft Office.
