Job Summary:
The Revenue Cycle Management (RCM) Director is responsible for overseeing and optimizing the revenue cycle process within the organization. This includes managing billing, collections, coding, compliance, and patient financial services to ensure the efficient and effective handling of patient accounts and the maximization of revenue. The RCM Directory will work closely with other departments to streamline processes, improve accuracy, and ensure compliance with relevant regulations.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Leadership and Management:
- Lead and manage the RCM team, providing direction, training, and support.
- Develop and implement strategic plans to improve revenue cycle processes.
- Monitor team performance and set goals to ensure high levels of productivity and accuracy.
- Foster a collaborative and motivated team environment.
2. Revenue Cycle Operations:
- Oversee all aspects of the revenue cycle, including patient registration, insurance verification, billing, coding and collections.
- Ensure accurate and timely submission of claims to payers and follow up on unpaid claims.
- Develop and implement policies and procedures to enhance efficiency and reduce errors.
- Analyze and address issues affecting the revenue cycle, such as claim denials and payment delays.
3. Financial Management:
- Monitor key performance indicators related to the revenue cycle, such as days in accounts receivable and denial rates.
- Prepare and present regular reports on revenue cycle performance to senior management.
- Identify opportunities to increase revenue and reduce costs within the revenue cycle.
4. Compliance and Risk Management
- Ensure compliance with all relevant regulations, including HIPAA, Medicare, Medicaid and private payer requirements.
- Conduct regular audits to ensure coding accuracy and compliance with billing regulations.
- Develop and implement strategies to mitigate risks related to the revenue cycle.
- Stay current with changes in the healthcare regulations and payer requirements.
2. Patient Experience
- Ensure a patient-centric approach in all revenue cycle activities.
- Address patient inquiries and concerns related to billing and insurance.
- Implement strategies to improve patient satisfaction with the financial aspects of their care.
3. Collaboration and communication:
- Collaborate with clinical and administrative staff to improve documentation and charge capture.
- Communicate effectively with other departments to address issues impacting the revenue cycle.
- Provide training and education to staff on revenue cycle best practices and compliance requirements.
Qualifications:
· Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Healthcare Administration, Finance , or a related field.
· Minimum of 5-7 years of experience in the healthcare revenue cycle management, with at least 3 years in a leadership role.
· Strong knowledge of healthcare billing, coding and compliance regulations.
· Proven ability to lead and develop high-performing team.
· Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
· Proficiency in revenue cycle management software and electronic health records systems.
Knowledge of Chiropractic billing operations preferable.
Working Conditions:
· This position is onsite in our Gainesville, FL office.
· Occasional travel may be required.
· The role may involve long hours and occasional weekend work, particularly during peak periods (month end) or when facing critical deadlines.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $60,000.00 - $70,000.00 per year
