JOB OVERVIEW:
The Project Manager will oversee the development and implementation of data warehouse projects within the healthcare domain. This role requires a deep understanding of data management processes, technical knowledge, and the ability to lead cross-functional teams effectively.
TECHNICAL RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Programming Proficiency: Utilize programming languages such as Python or R for data manipulation and analysis.
- ETL Development: Develop ETL processes using tools such as Informatica, Talend, or custom scripts to extract, transform, and load data from multiple sources (e.g., EMRs, billing systems).
- Cloud Solutions: Experience with cloud data warehouse solutions (e.g., AWS Redshift, Google BigQuery, Snowflake) is a plus.
- Compliance Collaboration: Collaborate with compliance teams to adhere to HIPAA and other healthcare regulations regarding data security and privacy.
- End-User Support: Support end-users in accessing and utilizing data through reporting tools and dashboards.
- Performance Monitoring: Monitor and optimize database performance and ETL processes to ensure efficient data retrieval and processing.
- Troubleshooting: Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to data integrity, performance, and system outages.
- Database Knowledge: Strong knowledge of SQL and experience with relational databases (e.g., SQL Server, Oracle).
- Data Modelling: Familiarity with data modelling tools (e.g., ERwin, IBM InfoSphere) and ETL tools.
- Healthcare Standards: Knowledge of healthcare data standards (e.g., HL7, FHIR) and data interoperability is desirable.
PROJECT MANAGEMENT RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Lead and manage data warehouse development projects, ensuring alignment with business objectives and compliance with healthcare regulations.
- Collaborate with stakeholders to define project scope, goals, and deliverables that support business needs.
- Develop and maintain project plans, timelines, and budgets, ensuring projects are delivered on time and within scope.
- Coordinate resources and manage project teams, facilitating communication and collaboration across departments.
- Monitor project progress, identify risks, and implement mitigation strategies as necessary.
- Ensure quality assurance throughout the project lifecycle and prepare comprehensive project documentation.
- Stay updated on industry trends and advancements in data warehousing and healthcare technologies.
QUALIFICATIONS:
- 9 years of experience in data warehouse development, specifically within the healthcare sector.
- 3 years of experience in data warehousing, preferably in a healthcare setting.
- Proven experience in data warehouse development processes and methodologies.
- Expertise in designing and implementing data models, including star and snowflake schemas, to support analytical requirements.
- Proficient in designing and developing ETL workflows to automate data extraction, transformation, and loading processes.
- Experience with reporting tools (e.g., Tableau, Power BI) to create insightful dashboards and reports from the data warehouse.
- Proficiency in using version control systems (e.g., Git) for managing code and ETL scripts in a collaborative environment.
- Proven ability to manage complex projects with multiple stakeholders.
- Excellent communication and leadership skills.
