Senior Accountant
Position Summary
We are seeking a Senior Accountant to join our dynamic team. This role offers opportunities in both auditing and tax preparation, where you will be cross-trained to handle both tax returns and financial statement preparation. As a Senior Accountant, you will manage client relationships, prepare business and individual income tax returns, and oversee financial statement services. Additionally, you will assist in maintaining the firm’s internal quality control and take the lead on various engagements.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage and build client relationships.
- Prepare business and income tax returns.
- Prepare and review financial statements.
- Ensure compliance with relevant regulations and quality standards.
- Lead engagements and coordinate team efforts.
- Participate in professional development and training opportunities.
- Perform day-to-day accounting functions, including bookkeeping and reconciliations.
- Generate financial statements and reports for client review.
- Provide insights and recommendations to improve financial processes.
- Stay informed about accounting regulations and industry best practices.
- Meet time budgets and client deadlines.
Qualifications
- CPA certification strongly desired
- Minimum of 5 years accounting experience
- Public Accounting experience strongly preferred
- Understanding of proper accounting processes, procedures, and workflow in daily accounting operations.
- Strong analytical skills, organizational skills, and attention to detail.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Current knowledge of Microsoft Office, QuickBooks Online, and accounting software a plus.
- Ability to establish workload priorities and perform assigned tasks in a timely manner.
- Ability to work in office and onsite with clients as needed
- Ability to travel as needed
- Ability to work overtime as needed
