A textile fabric dryer operator is responsible for operating industrial drying machines in a textile manufacturing facility, ensuring fabric is properly dried to specified moisture levels by monitoring machine settings, inspecting fabric for defects, and performing basic maintenance on the dryer while adhering to safety protocols.
Key responsibilities may include:
- Loading and unloading fabric: Loading fabric rolls onto the dryer and carefully unloading dried fabric onto designated areas.
- Operating controls: Adjusting dryer settings such as temperature, speed, and time based on fabric type and desired moisture content.
- Monitoring quality: Regularly inspecting fabric for defects like holes, stains, or uneven drying during the drying process.
- Maintaining machine performance: Performing routine cleaning and maintenance tasks on the dryer, including checking for malfunctions and reporting issues to maintenance personnel.
- Log keeping: Recording production data like fabric type, batch numbers, drying times, and any quality concerns on designated logs.
- Safety compliance: Following all safety procedures related to machine operation, including wearing proper protective gear and reporting any hazards.
