Overview
This position works under general supervision to plan, organize, and coordinate the operations of the Basic Food Employment and Training (BFET) program by facilitating student eligibility and enrollment, maintaining compliance with state and federal guidelines, and collaborating with internal and external stakeholders.

Duties & Responsibilities
Program Coordination
- Administer, track, and report on BFET student eligibility and progress.
- Maintain compliance with state and federal BFET regulations through accurate record-keeping and reporting.
- Process student applications and facilitate timely communication regarding eligibility.
- Serve as the primary point of contact for BFET student inquiries via phone, email, and in-person interactions.
Data Tracking & Reporting
- Utilize database and spreadsheet software to track and manage BFET student records.
- Generate reports on student participation, funding usage, and program outcomes.
- Document and maintain accurate records in state reporting systems.
- Develop and maintain organized data tracking systems to support program analysis and compliance.
Outreach & Collaboration
- Coordinate BFET-related meetings, outreach efforts, and engagement activities.
- Prepare materials to support program outreach and student engagement.
- Act as a resource and liaison between students, Workforce Funding staff, campus departments, and external agencies.
- Assist in developing student support materials, including communications and resource guides.
General Duties
- Contribute to the overall success of Workforce Funding initiatives by supporting departmental functions.
- Provide front desk coverage for Workforce Funding on a rotating basis.
- Perform other duties as assigned to support departmental operations and meet the needs of the campus.
Qualifications
Required Education and Experience:
- Associate's degree with coursework in business, education, social services, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
- Two years of experience involving program coordination, student support services, or administrative support.
Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
- Proficiency in maintaining and analyzing student records and reports.
- Ability to interpret and apply federal and state regulations.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills, including the ability to compose professional correspondence.
- Ability to provide direct service to student populations and facilitate student engagement.
- Proficiency with database and spreadsheet software, including Microsoft Excel and student management systems.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities, meet deadlines, and adapt to changing program requirements.
Preferred
- Experience working with workforce funding programs, such as BFET, Worker Retraining, or Opportunity Grant programs.
- Knowledge of eJas and Washington State Department of Social and Health Services systems.

TERMS OF EMPLOYMENT
- Full-time position, Monday through Friday, with occasional evenings and weekends.
- Position is subject to Everett Community College policies and procedures.
- Represented by Washington Federation of State Employees Union. Performance will be evaluated after a six (6) month probationary period and annually.
