Operations Supervisor
Reports to: Senior Operations Manager
Annual bonus target: $8,000

Key Responsibilities:
- Provide supervision & leadership for Drug Delivery production team(s) during the work week and on weekends as required.
- Ensure written instructions and standard work are followed to ensure products are produced according to specifications.
- Schedule & plan production to ensure products are produced in a timely manner.
- Report non-conformances and other potential problems to production and quality management in a timely manner.
- Propose, identify, and help implement process improvements by evaluating the most efficient and effective production methods.
- Interview, recommend hire, evaluate, and lead employees in conjunction with management to ensure that established policies, procedures, instructions, and standard work are followed.
- Evaluate employee performance and job duties and recommend any appropriate follow-up directly to manager.
- Assist production manager with clerical tasks including timecards and time adjustments, performance reviews, recording disciplinary actions, and other tasks as needed.
- Work to meet quarterly, yearly, and project-specific goals.
- Act as proxy for production manager in meetings as needed and take appropriate notes to relay back to manager.
- Executes requirements to properly dispose of hazardous and non-hazardous waste
- Operates standard and specialized lab equipment (balances, stir plates, pipettes, etc.).
- Works safely in appropriate Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) and applies good manufacturing practices in a controlled environment performing individual tasks and contributing to a team effort
- Conduct other corporate duties when required.
Qualifications:
- High School Diploma or equivalent, required.
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience preferred, particularly in a lab or cleanroom.
- Able to do routine computer data entry tasks.
- Good oral and written communication skills.
- Good interpersonal skills.
- Use of Microsoft Office Suite.
- Good attention to detail and critical thinking skills.
- Able to work with multiple persons in a team environment.
- Able to handle multiple and changing priorities along with fluctuations in workload.
Physical Requirements / Work Environment:
- Move or lift heavy objects (26-50 pounds).
- Frequent (>75%) stationary position (standing or sitting).
- Constant wearing and maintaining of personal protective equipment (PPE) to ensure safety and compliance.
- Rigidly controlled and sterile environment; possible work near biomedical and chemical hazards.
- Physical demands are typical of a manufacturing environment.
- Regular work required in a glovebox.
- Frequent (>75%) fine manipulation using hands and fingers (pinching, touching, pulling, wrapping).
