Position Overview:
As an Office Administrator, you will be an integral part of our team, dedicated to delivering superior service to our patients. Your role will involve front office responsibilities, ensuring effective communication and collaboration with patients, co-workers, and referral sources.
Key Responsibilities:
- Schedule patient appointments
- Conduct insurance verification (experience preferred)
- Create and maintain patient charts and records
- Scan, file, and ensure accuracy of patient documents
- Manage incoming phone calls
- Obtain insurance authorizations
- Offer financial counseling to patients and process co-insurance payments
- Request necessary documentation like detailed orders, physician notes, and medical necessity letters
Minimum Qualifications:
- High school diploma or GED
- 2 years of office administrative experience
- Basic understanding of Medicare/Medicaid and Commercial Insurance
- Strong interpersonal skills and ability to work under pressure
- Excellent multitasking abilities
- Friendly and welcoming attitude towards patients
Physical Requirements:
- Ability to lift up to 25 pounds
- Assist patients in wheelchairs
- Clear communication with patients, referral sources, and insurance companies
- Able to sit for long periods of time
Working Hours: Monday to Friday, 8:00 am - 5:00 pm
