To increase our shipping productivity, we have implemented AMR (autonomous mobile robots) in our pick & pack warehouse facility.
We are currently looking for a Staff Accountant to join our Finance team!
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Prepare journal entries including monthly routine closing entries to ensure accurate financial reporting.
- Prepare monthly and/or quarterly account reconciliations to ensure accurate reporting and ledger maintenance.
- Assist the team in managing and monitoring employee credit card program, including in recording employee credit card expenses timely and accurately.
- Assist the team in analyzing variances between actual, prior-year, and budgeted results, providing insights and recommendations.
- Prepare and compile documents for external auditors, taxing authorities and other internal parties to ensure compliance with financial requirements.
- Other daily duties as assigned to support the accounting and finance team.
SKILLS & COMPETENCIES
- Strong verbal and written communication skills to effectively interact with internal and external stakeholders.
- Sufficient knowledge of GAAP and internal control, including specific areas such as accruals, fixed assets, prepaids and intercompany transactions.
- Knowledge of Microsoft Office products including intermediate Excel skills and familiarity with various ERP systems (e.g., Sage, SAP, TM1, PeopleSoft, JD Edwards).
- Strong attention to detail with ability to analyze large data sets to derive insights and ensure accuracy.
- Strong work ethic with a drive to succeed, with a high level of initiative and motivation.
- Ability to work independently, exhibit resourcefulness and ownership, and work effectively in a team environment.
- Capability to multi-task and work under pressure to meet deadlines.

Qualifications
- Associate or Bachelor’s degree in Accounting.
- Sufficient knowledge of GAAP and internal control.
- Minimum 2-year accounting experience in a corporate accounting department including minimum 1-year experience in month-end closing process.
- Experience in tax is preferred.
