Inbound/Outbound Scheduler
Overview:
The Inbound/Outbound Scheduler responsibilities include managing daily logistic operations, ensuring timely and efficient product delivery, and optimizing distribution processes. As a Distribution Manager, you will lead a team of distribution staff, coordinate with various departments, and implement strategies to improve efficiency and customer satisfaction.
Key Responsibilities:
- Collaborate with daily distribution operations, ensuring efficient and timely delivery of products.
- Foster a positive, collaborative work environment promoting teamwork and high morale.
- Identify opportunities for process improvements and implement best practices to enhance efficiency and reduce waste.
- Promote a safety culture by enforcing safety protocols and conducting regular safety inspections.
- Ensure compliance with all relevant safety and company policies.
- Coordinate with production and customer service departments to ensure timely and accurate deliveries.
- Address and resolve any distribution-related customer issues promptly and effectively.
- Prepare and maintain accurate records of distribution activities, including daily receiving and shipping logs, and performance metrics.
- Communicate distribution status and any issues to senior management regularly.
- Assist with bi-annual plant inventories.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
- Solid knowledge of logistics procedures and supply chain management.
- Proficiency in using software for workflow organization.
- Excellent organizational and problem-solving skills.
- Strong communication and leadership abilities.
- Active listener with the capacity for multitasking and critical thinking.
- Ability to oversee capacity planning and scheduling for various work order types.
