Overview

This position will oversee the overnight operations of the rooms division including Front Office, Guest Services, and Housekeeping. The Overnight Manager will be responsible for overseeing general resort operations including running closing procedures for accounting and food and beverage. This person will be responsible for anything that happens on the overnight shift. Responsibilities

  • Oversees resort operations, resolves issues and tends to anything that arises during the overnight shift.
  • Runs closing reports for accounting and food and beverage and ensures the resort is secured after the outlets close.
  • Oversees and participates in all aspects of the Front Office, Guest Service, and Housekeeping operations, i.e. guest reception coverage as needed, public space cleanliness, and room inspections.
  • Responsible for maintaining Housekeeping supply and retail shop inventories on as needed basis or at minimum monthly par levels-oversees ordering of all supplies for both Departments in conjunction with monthly budget/forecast numbers.
  • Motivates team members and establishes a productive working environment at the resort.
  • Oversees & supports all overnight operational aspects of the resort including Front Desk/ Guest Services, Housekeeping, and Maintenance.
  • Conducts overnight stand-up meetings if needed.
  • Monitors and maintains high service quality, cleanliness, and safety standards.
  • Fosters a positive work environment and promotes teamwork among staff members.
  • Maintains consistent open lines of communication with overnight team members & contractors.
  • Directly oversees & supports night auditors. Conducts a nightly audit checklist of the hotel's financial transactions, ensuring accuracy and compliance with hotel policies.
  • Reviews & prepares for next-day arrivals including VIPs. Responsible for room assignments, amenity request forms & communication of all guests-related information.
  • Performs regular resort walks and checks of resort facilities.
  • Responds to emergencies or incidents promptly and appropriately, following hotel standard operating procedures.
  • Ensures all guest requests, inquiries & concerns are responded to in a professional & timely manner.
  • Properly communicates all team member-related concerns.

Qualifications

  • High School diploma or any other combination of training or experience that provides the required knowledge, skills, and abilities.
  • Previous customer service experience in the hospitality field.
  • Ability to compute basic arithmetic.
  • Fluency in English both written and verbally.
  • Provides legible communication and directions.
  • Ability to work well under pressure
  • Ability to work with minimal or no supervision
  • Ability to multi-task and meet strict deadlines
  • Ability to work with multiple systems
  • Strong problem-solving skills
  • Strong interest and enthusiasm towards work
  • Must be able to perform in a highly confidential environment
  • College level accounting classes is preferred
  • Two years of accounting or related field experience.

  • While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to walk, talk, see, and hear. Must be capable of walking or standing 90% or more of a normal 8 hour work shift. Must be capable of carrying, lifting. pushing or pulling up to 30lbs. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, peripheral vision, depth perceptions and the ability to adjust focus. Must be capable of answering phones and using a computer.
  • While performing the duties of this job, the employee will be exposed to indoor working environment. The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate.

Wage Range: $75,000-$85,000 per year
