Key Responsibilities:
- Create a welcoming and attentive atmosphere, engaging with guests, and addressing their needs.
- Greet and interact with guests in a friendly, attentive, and professional manner.
- Anticipate when guests require additional service.
- Provide recommendations on beverage selections, answer any questions about the menu and deliver prompt service.
- Tailor food and drink orders to meet guests' preferences and dietary restrictions.
- Accurately take guests food and beverage orders.
- Handle guest complaints or concerns gracefully, seeking solutions to ensure a positive dining experience.
- Prepare and serve a wide variety of cocktails, wines, spirits, and non-alcoholic drinks with precision and consistency while adhering to presentation standards.
- Follow standardized recipes and techniques to ensure the highest quality of beverages.
- Garnish drinks creatively to enhance their presentation.
- Maintain a clean and organized bar area, including the proper storage and rotation of beverages, glassware, and supplies.
- Handle cash and credit card transactions accurately and efficiently, including processing payments, giving change, and closing tabs.
- Participate in training and development opportunities to expand your knowledge of beverages, mixology techniques, and customer service skills.
- Ensure that glassware, bar tools, and equipment are clean and in good working condition.
- Monitor and manage inventory levels of spirits, wines, and other bar supplies.
- Ensure compliance with state, federal, and local regulations for all F&B outlets.
- Menus can be extensive and may change frequently. Bartenders need to be well-versed in the menu offerings, including ingredients, preparation methods and any specials.
- Stay up to date with the latest trends in mixology and beverage culture.
- Possess a deep understanding of different types of spirits, wines, and liqueurs.
- Educate guests about the history, origin, and characteristics of various drinks.
- Must stay current with resort operations and food & beverage trends.
- Adhere to all local, state, and federal regulations regarding the sale and service of alcoholic beverages.
- Verify the legal drinking age of guests and refuse service to those who are underage or intoxicated.
- Recognize signs of intoxication and handle situations appropriately.
- Coordinate with the kitchen and wait staff to ensure smooth service and timely delivery of drinks.
- Collaborate with other staff to maintain a well-organized and efficient bar operation.
- Assist in training new bartenders and staff, if required.
- Suggest premium or specialty drinks to enhance their dining experience and increase revenue.
- Promote special promotions, wine pairings, and other offerings as directed by the management.
- Complete opening and closing duties including setting up necessary supplies and tools, cleaning all equipment and areas, locking doors, etc.
- Respond to guest inquiries and requests in a timely, friendly and efficient manner.
- Complete side work as assigned.
- Monitor and assess the condition of bar equipment and report any maintenance or repair needs promptly.
- Speak with others using clear and professional language.
- Ensure adherence to quality expectations and standards.
- Follow all company and safety and security policies and procedures, and complete safety training and certifications.
- Ensure uniform and personal appearance are clean and professional, maintain confidentiality of proprietary information, and protect company assets.
- Engage in a positive guest focused environment.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Education, Skills and Experience
- High school Diploma
- 2-4 years of hospitality and bartending experience, customer service focus
- Knowledge of beverage mixing techniques, cocktail recipes, and presentation.
- Food, alcohol, and safety certifications under FL requirements.
- Written and verbal communication skills.
- Proven organizational and time management skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills; ability to interact with a wide range of people.
- Outstanding organizational and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment.
- Capable of performing the role in a busy work environment.
- Proficient in reading safety procedures and operating guidelines.
- Attention to detail and commitment to maintaining the highest standards of cleanliness and hygiene.
- Familiarity with POS (Point of Sale) systems and basic math skills for handling payments.

- Valid Florida Driver’s License with an acceptable driving record.
Physical Requirements
- Able to safely lift, pull and push up to 75 pounds.
- Able to stand, walk, stoop, kneel, bend, and reach.
- Subject to environmental conditions, work activities can occur inside and outside.
