SUMMARY:
The Connections Engagement Coordinator coordinates with internal Evernorth teams and with local partners, management companies, residents, and other stakeholders to identify and share proven low-income resident services and eviction prevention strategies. The person in this position will assist in identifying, implementing, and advocating for comprehensive resident services programming with the goal of improving residents’ financial stability and social well-being.
SPECIFIC RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Conduct outreach and relationship building with Evernorth’s syndication partner organizations in Maine and New Hampshire in order to gather and share information and strategies, and to inform Evernorth’s advocacy efforts.
- Manage community garden program including acting as liaison between affordable housing partners and the Vermont Garden Network, managing the budget, and developing additional community gardens.
- Attend local and regional events and network with other housing professionals; stay current with trends and advocacy topics as they relate to resident wellbeing in affordable housing.
- Research trends, policies, and best practices and share with Evernorth’s tri-state partners.
- Assist with resident outreach through interviews, surveys and focus groups.
- Complete data collection and entry, analysis, and visualization including posters and summary reports, for both Vermont-specific data collection projects and expansion into Maine and NH.
- At the direction of the Program Manager, host housing staff roundtables and trainings in Vermont, New Hampshire, and Maine.
- Coordinate and schedule meetings, create and send agendas
- Identify innovative opportunities, programs, and initiatives that will benefit from financial assistance from the Connections Program. Coordinate community-building events on Evernorth real estate owned properties.
- Assist with researching and writing grants as needed.

EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE, & COMPETENCIES:
- Bachelor’s degree in a related field preferred, or equivalent experience in affordable housing (living, working, or volunteering).
- Valid driver’s license.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office 365 (including SharePoint) and advanced PowerPoint. Basic knowledge of descriptive statistics and data visualization.
- Strong written, verbal, and active listening skills. Skilled in report writing and presenting information clearly to diverse audiences.
- Empathetic, collaborative, and effective in engaging with individuals from all backgrounds and roles.
- Organized, flexible, and capable of managing multiple priorities under tight deadlines.
- Self-starter with outreach and relationship-building skills; works well independently and in teams.
- Background in working with marginalized groups, volunteer experience, and a solid understanding of social justice issues.
