Job Title: Electrical and Mechanical Maintenance Technician Lead
Location: Sherrill, NY
Shift: 1st Shift (Flexibility Required)
Job Summary:
Lead maintenance activities to ensure safe, efficient operation of plant equipment. Troubleshoot, repair, and maintain electrical and mechanical systems while guiding the maintenance team. Support preventive maintenance, continuous improvement, and compliance with safety standards.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead and coordinate maintenance tasks across shifts.
- Troubleshoot and repair electrical (motors, PLCs, controls) and mechanical (hydraulics, pneumatics, conveyors) systems.
- Train and mentor maintenance technicians.
- Support preventive and predictive maintenance programs.
- Ensure safety compliance and maintain accurate records.
- Collaborate with teams to minimize downtime and support operations.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or GED; technical certification preferred.
- 5 years of industrial maintenance experience (electrical & mechanical).
- Strong leadership and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to read schematics, blueprints, and troubleshoot PLCs.
- Familiarity with CMMS and basic computer skills.
- Flexibility for shift coverage as needed.
Working Conditions:
- Industrial environment with exposure to noise, heat, and machinery.
- Frequent standing, walking, bending, and lifting (up to 50 lbs).
- PPE use and adherence to safety protocols required.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $60,000.00 - $65,000.00 per year
