Regional Information Technology Manager
Reports to: JVP IT
Status: Exempt
Scope & Responsibilities:
The Regional Information Technology Manager (RITM) is responsible for assisting with the day-to-day IT processes and workflows of the Information Technology department for all ETS locations. This role includes direct management of the EMCTOS User Interface (UI) and User Experience (UX) support, as well as Everport business applications that connect with the Integrated Technologies subsystems and communications for the Terminal Operating System (TOS). This encompasses systems such as KALMAR, ABS, CERTUS, LA KING, eModal, and other automated processes, including incidental applications.
The RITM/RSM will facilitate and assist effectively coordinating the project cycle management phases related to TOS systems, including initiation, planning, development, enhancements, fixes, testing, and deployment. This will also involve the integration or reintegration of third-party subsystem solutions. Close collaboration with the IT Department lead and the operational management team will be essential to define strategies and priorities for terminal business technologies.
Primary Responsibilities:
- Work closely with the Infrastructure, Network, and Cybersecurity departments to ensure that troubleshooting, enhancements, and project workflows are cohesively aligned within internal communications and operations.
- Coordinate and facilitate projects with the CPU team and lead the Operations team for TOS development and enhancements, addressing any TOS bugs or program errors to ensure operational continuity.
- Collaborate with resource teams and external vendors to ensure that EDI communication channels related to production and procedures are maintained and executed properly, which includes overseeing development, change requests, and enterprise integration projects.
- Act as a liaison between ETS EDI subscribed clients, CBP, and the EGA/EDI team.
- Work closely with the infrastructure team and the End-User IT Support Manager to utilize data analysis tools to ensure compliance with Service Level Agreements (SLAs) from contracted integrated technology solution providers. This includes metrics such as OCR confidence, Auto Prints, and Drayman Egress/Ingress.
- Collaborate with executive and operating officers to develop technological and data-driven solutions that align with the company's objectives based on thorough research and evaluations. Provide short- to long-term strategies and recommendations for operational enhancements, cost savings, and improved efficiencies.
- Work alongside the head and infrastructure team to implement, develop, and maintain IT best practices, internal work instructions, and IT process flows and training. Assist or facilitate infrastructure management in troubleshooting methods to minimize system outages and reduce interruptions in automation process flows.
Secondary Summary of Duties:
- Work closely with the IT department lead to ensure that the entire IT support team maintains a high level of customer service.
- Ensure all end-users, including ETS personnel and Union members, adhere to Everport's cybersecurity policies and procedures.
