Visitor Experience Associate
Reports to: Director of Finance
Part-Time, Weekends required

Central New York's premier cultural and visual arts organization is seeking an enthusiastic individual to assist with front-of-house operations including the Visitor Services Desk and the Museum Shop. As a steward of the Everson’s mission, the Visitor Experience Associate will work alongside staff and volunteers to create a welcoming visitor experience for diverse and intergenerational audiences. This person is often the first Everson staff member with whom a visitor interacts, and must be able to communicate knowledgeably and confidently about the Museum and its exhibitions, programs, and events. Please note that the typical schedule is 15-20 hours per week, including evening and weekend hours.
Responsibilities
· Provide exceptional customer service to museum visitors, program and event attendees, artists, community partners, rental clients, and other Everson constituencies.
· Collaborate with the Education department to assist with tours and programming.
· Work with Operations team on set-up and check-in for Museum events and programs.
· Maintain and process all ticketed and admission-based programs through Altru's Point of Sales system, including fulfillment of orders.
· Work with Director of Finance as necessary for daily receipts.
· Continually evaluate and enhance Visitor Experience systems, procedures, and materials.
· Monitor the visual appeal of the Museum Shop and connectedness to Museum’s brand and exhibitions.
· Work with the Museum Shop Manager, Director of Communications, and Director of Finance to order, restock, and merchandise inventory.
· Work with Museum Shop Manager and Director of Finance on shop budget, orders, invoices, consignment agreements, monthly reporting, and annual inventory.
· Fulfill online orders for Museum Shop.
· Assist with offices duties as needed, including answering phones, updating Museum voicemail, data entry, filing, and others as required.
