Project Director, Electric Transmission

To lead and have total responsibility for the development, justification, and successful execution of strategic, critical and major transmission projects of specific strategic, competitive and / or regulatory importance.

Essential Functions :

• Overall responsibility to complete strategic, critical and complex projects on schedule, within budget, schedule and scope.
• Prepare project specific plans including progression milestones and deliverables.
• Participate in the development and execution of Eversource’s mission, goals, and objectives.
• Secure project funding and support including siting, permitting, regulatory approvals and customer / community commitments.
• Identify emerging issues and recommend appropriate actions / projects that produce shareholder value and meet internal and external customer needs.
• Lead, develop, motivate, and monitor a staff capable of dealing with business and technical issues to achieve high value results that support the project strategies and goals; includes employees, contractors, and potential external key stakeholders.
• Develop and implement cogent project monitoring and reporting systems.
• Provide post-project follow-up to ensure original anticipated values are achieved.
• Provide post-project review to identify and recommend additional enhancements.
• Direct and / or participate in the development and processing of various permit requirements.
• Direct and / or participate in various project support communication and public relation initiatives.
• Develop business strategies and initiatives to leverage ancillary value of project assets.
