Main responsibility is supporting generator interconnection and transmission planning related activities.
Responsibilities:
- Manage the generation interconnection process of utility scale solar and energy storage projects, including pre-application feasibility analysis, interconnection application submission, interconnection study and agreement process, and construction milestone management.
- Review and verify interconnection study results.
- Coordinate with Land Acquisition, Engineering, Permitting, EPC, and Operations teams to develop a strong pipeline of solar and energy storage projects.
- Provide technical support for project acquisition activities.
- Participate in RTO/ISO Generation Interconnection and other stakeholder forums and inform executive management of industry changes and trends.
- Manage consultant and other service provider activities. Manage interconnection project accounts.
Candidate profile:
- BS in Electrical Engineering
- Experience with power flow studies
- Working knowledge of TARA preferred
- Familiar with RTO/ISO interconnection process and tariff requirements
- RTO/ISO experience preferred
- Travel up to 25%
