Location: New Orleans, Louisiana
Summary
We are seeking a motivated and experienced Litigation Paralegal to join our client’s team. The ideal candidate will have at least 5 years of litigation experience and possess exceptional organizational and communication skills. This position supports multiple busy attorneys and requires the ability to manage complex cases effectively.
Key Responsibilities:
- Prepare legal documents, pleadings, and correspondence.
- Manage document production, including scanning, organizing, and conducting database searches.
- File documents with courts and government agencies.
- Maintain case calendars, deadlines, and schedules.
- Conduct legal research and assist with trial preparation.
- Communicate with clients, opposing counsel, and court personnel.
Qualifications & Skills:
- Minimum 3 years of experience as a Paralegal, with a strong background in commercial litigation.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Word, PowerPoint, Excel, and Outlook.
- Strong calendaring, scheduling, and case management abilities.
- Ability to type with speed and accuracy.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Detail-oriented and capable of managing multiple deadlines.
- Experience supporting multiple attorneys in a fast-paced environment.
- Construction and labor law experience is a plus, but not required.
