The Impact You Will Make
The Contract Manager oversees contract management and data analysis for all Procurement agreements and is responsible for managing the Group Purchasing Organization (GPO) relationship. Reviews, analyzes, and recommends the usage, signing and implementation of all Procurement agreements. Leads on negotiations with vendors and supports Everstory Partner initiatives to identify areas for cost savings and / or product standardization. Utilizes and maintains the approved documentation methods to report savings initiatives and progress as required. Provides support to all departments and field locations in determining appropriate contract / product selections. Actively participate in outstanding customer service and accepts responsibility in maintaining relationships that are equally respectful to all.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities :
- Facilitates contract evaluation and selection process.
- Prepares, supports, and analyzes results of contract negotiations with suppliers based on product and service lists, ensuring best price, terms, conditions, service, quality and preferred vendor utilization.
- Provides purchase and contract recommendations, coordinates implementation, fulfillment, and compliance of contract agreements according to policy.
- Ensures purchase compliance to price, terms and conditions, including various state and federal laws, and Everstory's policies and procedures.
- Monitors supplier compliance in areas of responsibility and recommends and implements action for improvement.
- Communicates back orders and product information to sales staff and provides an acceptable substitute product, when necessary, as well as communicates product changes to appropriate staff.
- Provides support for the preparation, development and implementation of cost reduction initiatives for value analysis and budget teams throughout the organization.
- Review’s contract terms and conditions and works closely with Legal department to review and negotiate optimal contract terms and conditions.
- Ensures that all required documentation and approvals are obtained before finalizing the contract.
- Coordinates the implementation of contracts and the loading of new / updated agreements.
- Performs other duties as assigned or directed.
- Maintains and submits weekly / monthly / quarterly financial and / or cost savings reports on a timely basis meeting corporate schedule.
