Job Description: Every Special Child is seeking a dedicated and passionate Special Education Teacher to join our team in Vista, CA for the remainder of the current school year, with an opportunity to continue into the 2025-26 school year. We are looking for professionals who are committed to making a lasting impact in the lives of students with special needs.
Responsibilities:
Provide instruction and support to students in grades K-8
K-6: Small group reading instruction
Grades 7-8: Case management
Develop and implement Individualized Education Programs (IEPs)
Collaborate with general education teachers, staff, and families
Adapt curriculum and modify instructional techniques to meet student needs
Maintain accurate records and documentation in compliance with district and state regulations
Credential & Authorizations Needed (Must meet one of the following):
Option 1:
Education Specialist Credential – Extensive Support Needs (ESN / Mod/Severe)
English Learner (EL) Authorization
Autism Authorization (Preferred)
OR
Option 2:
Education Specialist Credential – Mild/Moderate
English Learner (EL) Authorization
Autism Authorization
Requirements:
Valid California Teaching Credential as outlined above
Experience working with students with diverse needs preferred
Strong communication and collaboration skills
Ability to manage caseloads and support inclusive practices
Schedule:
Monday to Friday, during school hours
Full-time, onsite position
Start Date: As soon as possible
Contract Duration: Now through the end of the 2024-25 school year, with potential for renewal in 2025-26
