About This Job:
-Assist instructors in teaching fun, after-school science classes to elementary-age students
-Pass out materials and assist students. (The instructor will prepare the lesson, you would be assisting them).
-Assist in teaching classes on-site Wednesdays 4:15-5:45 in Riverton.
-Assistants are paid $17.50 per hour for teaching, set up and clean up ($26.25 for a 1.5-hour shift).
-Additional hours may be available.
Position Responsibilities:
-Help instructor to conduct exciting science experiments with groups of up to 24 students at a time.
-Ensuring the student safety during experiments.
-Assist instructor to teach basic chemistry, magnets, static electricity etc.
Instructor Qualifications:
-Extremely reliable with a proven ability to report to work regularly and on time.
-Good with children
-Pass a criminal background check
-Commitment to work through the end of the school year May 2025, but longer-term commitments are strongly preferred.
-Able to lift and carry 30 pounds at a time.
