SEO/Developer Coordinator

Job Title: SEO/Developer Coordinator        FLSA Classification: Exempt

Reports to: Director of Technology

Schedule: M-F 8:30-5:30pm (Subject to overtime and schedule changes as needed)

Salary Grade and/or Range: 3

Purpose and Scope:

The SEO/Developer Coordinator supports the agency’s SEO and web development efforts to enhance clients’ digital presence. This role combines foundational technical SEO skills with web development expertise, focusing on WordPress customization and optimization. Collaborating with the Director of Technology and the digital team, the coordinator ensures the execution of effective strategies to achieve client goals while maintaining project timelines and quality standards.

Essential Functions

SEO Support:

• Execute on-page SEO strategies, including meta tags, headings, and URL structure optimization.
• Monitor and improve site performance through tools like Google Search Console and Google Analytics.
• Address technical SEO aspects, such as site speed, mobile optimization, and XML sitemaps.
• Implement schema markup and structured data for enhanced search visibility.

WordPress Development:

• Customize WordPress themes and plugins using basic PHP and WordPress core functions.
• Manage content with Advanced Custom Fields (ACF) and other WordPress tools.
• Troubleshoot and resolve website performance and functionality issues.

Web Development Basics:

• Create and maintain responsive web designs using HTML, CSS, and basic JavaScript.
• Collaborate on the integration of SEO best practices into web development projects.

Content and Collaboration:

• Assist with content optimization for SEO and manage updates in WordPress.
• Support cross-departmental collaboration to align digital strategies with client goals.
• Communicate progress and technical solutions effectively to internal teams and clients.

 Qualifications

• Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Marketing, or related field (or equivalent experience).
• 1 years of experience in web development or SEO (internships acceptable).
• Proficiency with WordPress, including themes, plugins, and content management.
• Familiarity with Google Analytics, Google Search Console, and other SEO tools.
• Basic understanding of PHP, HTML, CSS, and JavaScript.
• Desire to grow and learn in a dynamic agency environment.

Travel Requirements

• Minimal travel, as needed.
