Key Skills And Responsibilities
- Culinary Skills: Prepare and supervise the preparation of food items, ensuring high standards of quality and presentation. Ensure precision in food preparation, portioning, and presentation.
- Supervisory Skills: Lead and assist kitchen staff, ensuring efficient and high-quality food preparation and service.
- Problem-Solving Ability: Anticipate and address issues proactively to maintain smooth kitchen operations.
- Communication Skills: Convey information clearly and resolve concerns from co-workers and guests effectively.
- Organizational Skills: Maintain cleanliness and organization in the kitchen, adhering to sanitation and safety standards.
- Initiative: Show initiative by anticipating needs and taking proactive steps to address them.
- Time Management: Manage time efficiently to ensure timely food preparation and service.
- Previous supervisory responsibility preferred.
- At least 5 years of progressive experience, or a culinary graduate with at least 1 year of experience in a hotel or related field.
- Food Handlers Certification required.(must comply with State requirements)
- Able to work effectively under pressure, maintaining composure while quickly evaluating situations and determining the best course of action
- A strong communicator who listens actively to understand concerns raised by coworkers and guests, and effectively conveys ideas and solutions
