What are the responsibilities and job description for the Shipping and Receiving position at Evolution Power Tools?
Overall Role
We seek an experienced Shipping and Receiving Clerk to join our growing Davenport, Iowa warehouse team. Reporting to the Warehouse Supervisor, the jobholder will work to receive accurately and efficiently, store, and dispatch goods in accordance with company procedures. The role is focused on upholding Evolution’s outstanding customer service status by ensuring a quick and reliable delivery service within market-leading periods.
Main Duties & Tasks
- Unload delivery vehicles and check goods received accurately.
- Unload incoming containers by hand.
- Blade machines as they come in.
- Safely palletize goods, shrink wrap, and put them away in stock location.
- Pick, pack, and check orders with elevated care and accuracy.
- Load all vehicles in a safe and presentable manner.
- Highlight any errors or damage immediately.
- Assist with monthly stock counting.
- Dealing with internal & external telephone inquiries.
- Have daily contact with other departments, including the Workshop, Sales, Accounts & Customer Services.
- Maintain prominent levels of site housekeeping.
- Maintain prominent levels of health & safety and report any concerns to the Warehouse Supervisor immediately.
- Work towards the overall company objectives and collaborate with other Evolution employees to ensure continuous improvement.
