About the Role
This is a brand-new position, designed for an experienced, hands-on data engineering leader with a passion for building and innovating in a fast-paced, high-growth environment. You’ll be at the forefront of the data strategy, leveraging modern tools and technologies to transform raw data into actionable insights. Reporting to senior leadership, you’ll play a key role in our journey to harness data as a strategic asset.
What You’ll Do
- Team Leadership: Recruit, mentor, and grow a high-performing data engineering team, fostering a collaborative and innovative culture.
- Hands-On Development: Build scalable and reliable data pipelines, ETL workflows, and data integration solutions.
- Cloud & DevOps Expertise: Lead the design and optimization of cloud-based infrastructure using Microsoft Azure, Databricks, Azure Functions, Terraform, and more.
- Data Mastery: Manage master data, create and monitor APIs, and implement robust data governance processes.
- Visualization & Insights: Partner with cross-functional teams to deliver insights using Power BI and other analytics tools.
- Collaboration & Strategy: Work closely with stakeholders to align data engineering initiatives with broader business goals.
What We’re Looking For
- Technical Expertise: Proficiency in Python, Spark, SQL, DevOps principles, ETL activities, and API creation/monitoring.
- Cloud Proficiency: Hands-on experience with Azure and Databricks is essential.
- Leadership Skills: Proven track record of growing and leading technical teams.
- Problem Solver: Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities, with excellent communication skills to bridge technical and non-technical stakeholders.
