Evolution Safety Resources is a Safety Consulting Firm based out of Raleigh, NC.
With clients spanning NC, SC, TN, and VA, we are seeking a full-time Director of Safety Services to manage our team of field safety representatives. This role will act as our client's main point of contact with our business, ensuring that needs are heard, understood, and met via our team of in-house safety professionals. The Director of Safety Services will interact with the client on a managerial level and ensure compliance with federal, state, and best practice safety guidelines.
We are looking for a permanent and full-time representative to facilitate compliance with occupational health and safety (OSH) guidelines on our customers' sites. The Director of Safety Services will act as a technical expert and will provide advice on measures to minimize hazards or unhealthy situations. The goal is to establish a safe workplace according to legal standards and foster a culture of attention to health and safety. We are seeking someone who is based out of Charlotte or the surrounding area.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Compliance with all OSHA, EPA, DOT and NFPA regulations,
Inspects sites daily for existing and/or potential incident and health hazards, determines corrective or preventative measures where indicated, and follows up to ensure measures have been implemented.
Investigates all injuries and illnesses reported.
Attends/leads safety meetings for clients, presenting helpful and informative topics in a relatable and memorable way.
Represents the organization in community or industry safety groups and programs.
Maintains safety files and records.
EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE
10 years of construction field experience (required)
10 years of field safety experience (required)
OSHA 510 credentials (required)
OSHA 500 credentials (preferred)
Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.
Ability to write routine reports and correspondence.
Ability to speak effectively before groups of customers or employees of organization.
PHYSICAL DEMANDS
The employee is frequently required to stand, walk, and sit. The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus.
WORK ENVIRONMENT
The employee is frequently assigned to outdoor jobs, requires long periods of standing and lifting and carrying of training supplies.
Employee will be expected to have a clean driving history, a valid driver’s license and pass a background and substance screening.
