Job Overview:
We are seeking a skilled Aerospace Tooling CNC Operator/Machinist to join our dynamic team on the overnight shift. The ideal candidate will have experience operating both 3-axis and 5-axis CNC machines and a strong background in aerospace tooling. This individual will play a crucial role in producing high-quality components and tooling solutions that meet our clients’ rigorous specifications.

Key Responsibilities:

• Set up and operate 3-axis and 5-axis CNC machines (mills, lathes, routers) to manufacture aerospace tooling components according to technical drawings and specifications.
• Read and interpret blueprints, CAD models, and technical documents to determine machining processes and tolerances.
• Utilize precision measuring instruments (calipers, micrometers, gauges) to inspect parts and ensure compliance with quality standards.
• Perform routine maintenance on CNC machines and troubleshoot any operational issues that arise during the machining process.
• Collaborate with engineers and production teams to optimize machining processes and improve tooling efficiency.
• Maintain a clean and organized work area, adhering to safety protocols and company policies.
• Document production processes and maintain accurate records of work performed, including time sheets and quality checks.
• Participate in continuous improvement initiatives and contribute ideas to enhance manufacturing capabilities and reduce waste.

Qualifications:

• High School diploma or equivalent; technical degree or certification in machining/CNC operations preferred.
• Minimum 2-3 of experience operating CNC machines, preferably in aerospace tooling or a related field.
• Proficient in reading and interpreting engineering drawings and schematics.
• Familiarity with various materials used in aerospace tooling (aluminum, titanium, composite materials).
• Excellent attention to detail and accuracy in a fast-paced production environment.
• Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently.
• Effective communication and teamwork skills.
• Willingness to work the overnight shift 4 PM to 2 AM.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $20.00 - $35.00 per hour
