As a field service engineer, you will help us ensure a seamless customer rollout of our life saving products. Currently, our services team supports product demos and installations, as well as provides maintenance, upgrades, and repairs to existing field units.
The Role: What are performance outcomes over the first 6-12 months you will work toward completing?
- Maintain responsibility for installation and setup of Evolv Express system.
- Successfully troubleshooting hardware and software issues that come up in the field
- Perform and measure hardware testing and replacement.
- -Perform regularly scheduled software maintenance and upgrading
- -Train customer employees and security staff while ensuring a very high level of customer satisfaction.
- -Become an expert in conveying Evolv’s technology and process.
- Support Channel Partners in repairs and installations
- Travel can be up to 50-80% of the time depending on customer needs; some of our customers operate on nights, weekends, and holidays, which means that on some occasions, our FSEs will too.

Skills
- Adapt to fast-growing and changing environments.
- Passion for travel, this role will enable you to do quite a lot!
- System-level troubleshooting (mechanical, electronic, and RF), wiring diagrams, schematics, and the ability to read floor plans.
- Leadership capability - excels at taking charge of installations concerning subcontractors and facilities personnel and guiding the customer
- Familiarity with security and checkpoints such as walkthrough metal detectors, x-ray baggage scanning, trace detection, and video surveillance systems
- General understanding and troubleshooting skills with access control, phone, and tablet applications.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to work both independently and as part of a team with many different types of people, including customers, operations, engineering, and management.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office tools – Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and familiarity with CRM tools.
