Network Engineering Lead

Summary

The Senior Engineering Lead will oversee network engineering, administration, and support functions within our enterprise network infrastructure. This role involves leading the analysis, design, implementation, administration, and maintenance of highly available network systems that meet business objectives and SLAs. The ideal candidate will thrive in a dynamic and rapidly expanding environment.

As a key member of our IT team, the Senior Network Operations Team Lead will demonstrate technical excellence, reliability in delivering mission-critical infrastructure, and a commitment to ensuring the highest levels of accessibility, optimization, and security.

Essential Responsibilities

• Support the Network Infrastructure environment with a service-oriented approach, ensuring efficient delivery to meet customer needs and service expectations.
• Work within established configuration and change management policies to ensure awareness, approval, and success of changes made to the network infrastructure.
• Lead engineering, design, deployment, troubleshooting, and administration of network infrastructure solutions, including :
• WAN Services solutions supporting wide area network circuits, Internet circuits, Point to Point Circuits, and 3rd Party Fabric solutions.
• Wired / Wireless LAN Services solutions including performance monitoring and management, Layer 1, Layer 2, and Layer 3 solutions.
• Third-Party Services solutions, ensuring security and access integration into the network.
• Automate network deployment and data collection tasks to enhance productivity and validity of results.
• Create and document support strategies aligned with business expectations.
• Maintain comprehensive documentation for all implemented networks and ensure operational process, procedure, and policy documentation is complete and accurate.
• Manage physical design and implementation of data centers and local communication rooms, including cabling and hardware installation.
• Assist in managing the relationship with Data Center vendors for all related items.
• Implement security tools, policies, and procedures in conjunction with the company's security team.
• Lead problem management events and create root cause analysis documentation for upper management.
• Identify and resolve security issues and vulnerabilities.
• Perform network maintenance and system upgrades, including patches, hot fixes, and security configurations.
• Monitor network performance and ensure system availability and reliability.
• Provide recurring Network Health reports with supporting metrics.
• Automate network monitoring and alert triage.
• Develop testing platforms to detect network configuration inconsistencies.
• Automate network device provisioning and execute network changes.
• Set operational and project goals, working globally with cross-functional teams to deliver business outcomes predictability.
• Identify and communicate IT Infrastructure needs and implement approved hardware / software solutions.
• Perform performance monitoring, system tuning, and capacity planning for optimal system performance.
• Develop and document standards, policies, and procedures for IT network environments.
