To provide analytical support within fermentation, downstream and the Quality Assurance laboratory of Evonik Corporation in Blair, NE. Areas include analytical testing, maintenance, calibration, troubleshooting, repair, training & QA approval of all products manufactured at the Blair, NE site. This position provides analytical support for the production environment, which operates 24 hours/day year-round. This position may include phone calls and consultations outside of normal hours to ensure production support in the event of schedule gap or production upset.

Responsibilities
- Prioritizing responsibilities and key accountabilities while on shift. Collecting and analyzing raw material samples in-process samples and final product samples using analytical methods to assure that the samples and products meet internal and external customer specifications. Validate and approve raw material shipments. Analyzing customer samples
- Monitoring process conditions and variables using various data historian tools. Involved in making process adjustment decisions and recommendations.
- Communicate and supply analytical support to all levels of the organization.
- Operating, maintaining, validating and calibrating bench top and in-line instruments. Data analysis, interpretation and reporting using a LIMS and SAP.
- Troubleshooting process upsets and managing resources to resolve them. Training new employees on Quality Assurance systems, analytical methods and instruments.
- Uphold all HACCP, ISO 9001/14001, and RC14001 principles.
- Technical Expertise: Experience with analytical instruments (GC, HPLC, NIR, ICP) and analytical methods.
- Safety Commitment: Adherence to safety protocols and active participation in safety initiatives.
- Work Flexibility: Willingness to work shifts, including weekends, holidays, nights, and on-call schedules.
- Technical & Communication Skills: Strong computer proficiency and effective written/verbal communication.
- Problem-Solving & Leadership: Strong analytical thinking, decision-making, organizational, and leadership skills.
- Attention to Detail & Collaboration: Detail-oriented, self-directed team player with strong interpersonal skills.
