The Site Engineering Manager is a key member of the Care Solutions business segment, overseeing the Engineering team at the Mapleton site. This role involves leading the site’s engineering and capital projects, coordinating with cross-functional teams, and managing compliance with safety and operational standards. The manager will mentor and develop the engineering team, prioritize projects, and ensure efficient resource allocation.

Responsibilities

• Leadership and Team Management:
  
• Lead and develop the engineering team while actively participating in the site leadership team.
• Oversee project prioritization, departmental budgets, and compliance with corporate standards.
  
  
  

• Project Management:
  
• Manage projects from conceptual design to construction, including budgeting, schedules, and communication with stakeholders.
• Ensure safety, compliance, and quality during project execution, commissioning, and startup.
  
  
  

• Technical Support:
  
• Provide technical expertise in equipment design, P&IDs, and control systems.
• Support process safety (MOC, PHA, PSSR) and maintain accurate site documentation (PSI).
• Troubleshoot equipment and process issues and support production changes.
  
  
  

• Compliance and Improvement:
  
• Ensure adherence to OSHA PSM, EPA RMP, and ESHQ standards.
• Drive continuous improvement initiatives and participate in audits and incident investigations.
• Maintain compliance documentation and contribute to the site’s MI program.
  
  

Requirements

• Education & Experience:
  
• Bachelor’s or Master’s in Engineering with 10 years in project or plant engineering in a chemical manufacturing facility.
• Strong project management skills, including cost estimating and implementation.
  
  
  

• Technical Skills:
  
• Knowledge of OSHA PSM regulations, equipment design, and DCS control systems.
• Proficiency in SAP, EPIC, and Microsoft Office 365.
  
  
  

• Additional Skills:
  
• Strong leadership, organizational, and communication abilities.
• Experience with Lean Six Sigma or continuous improvement initiatives is a plus.
• Ability to work in a plant environment and collaborate with cross-functional teams.
