Job Overview
As a Line Cook, you will be an essential part of our kitchen team, responsible for preparing, cooking, and plating dishes to meet our high standards of quality and consistency. You will work in a fast-paced environment and collaborate with fellow kitchen staff to ensure smooth operations during service.
Responsibilities
- Prepare and cook menu items according to recipes and restaurant standards
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe kitchen environment
- Set up and stock cooking stations with necessary ingredients, tools, and equipment
- Ensure all dishes are prepared with the highest quality ingredients and in a timely manner
- Follow food safety and sanitation guidelines at all times
- Work collaboratively with other kitchen staff to ensure efficient and smooth service
- Assist in inventory management, including receiving and storing deliveries
- Monitor food waste and assist in managing portion control
- Communicate with the Chef and Sous Chef to address any issues or concerns
- Maintain consistency in presentation, flavor, and quality of dishes
- Ensure proper equipment use and notify management of any issues or malfunctions
- Previous experience in a fast-paced kitchen environment preferred
- Knowledge of Italian cuisine and cooking techniques is a plus
- Ability to work well under pressure and stay organized
- Strong communication skills and ability to work well in a team
- High attention to detail and commitment to food quality
- Ability to follow instructions and adhere to restaurant standards
