Position Overview
As Outside Sales, you will manage and grow sales within a defined geographic territory in the Pacific Northwest. Your role will focus on engaging directly with distributors, contractors, and end-users to drive sales growth, provide technical product support, and develop long-term relationships. This position requires a strong technical sales background, navigating complex sales processes, and a proactive approach to business development.
Key Responsibilities
• Sales Cycle Management: Own the entire sales process from lead generation to closing deals. Develop and execute strategic sales plans to meet and exceed revenue targets.
• Customer Engagement: Conduct in-person meetings with contractors, distributors, and end-users to understand their unique needs and challenges while positioning EFI’s products as value-driven solutions.
• Relationship Building: Establish and maintain long-term relationships with key decision-makers and influencers in the market.
• Technical Expertise: Provide product training, demonstrations, and presentations to customers and distributor partners.
• Market Insights: Monitor industry trends, competitive landscape, and market dynamics to identify growth opportunities.
• CRM & Reporting: Using the company CRM (Microsoft Dynamics), maintain accurate records of all sales activities and provide timely sales forecasts and reports to management.
• Collaboration: Work closely with inside sales, specification teams, and product line management to execute project activities and close new opportunities.
Travel: Willingness to travel regularly within the assigned territory to maintain strong client relationships and attend industry events.
Qualifications & Experience
• Experience: 3-5 years of technical sales experience, preferably in electrical, industrial, or construction-related markets.
• Sales Skills: Proven track record of meeting or exceeding sales targets. Strong negotiation and closing abilities.
• Technical Acumen: Ability to effectively communicate technical concepts to both technical and non technical stakeholders.
• Organizational Skills: Exceptional time management, planning, and follow-up capabilities.
• Software Proficiency: Familiarity with CRM systems, MS Outlook, Word, and Excel.
• Education: A bachelor’s degree or an equivalent combination of education and experience is preferred.
• Adaptability: Thrive in a dynamic, fast-paced environment with a strong focus on career growth and continuous learning.
