What are the responsibilities and job description for the Data Modeler position at EWS?

We are looking for a candidate for the immediate requirement of “Data Modeler” position.

Title: Data Modeler

Location: Fairfield, NJ or other unanticipated locations in the U.S

Requirements

Responsible for the development of conceptual, logical and physical data models, the implementation of RDBMS, operational data store, data marts and data lakes on target platforms.
Analyze user requirements and define functional specifications.
Understand production state of application to determine impact of new implementation on business processes.
Review the process structure to determine elements that affect business development and performance.
Create data model for optimal performance. Build new data model for multiple data sources.
Prepare Erwin data model template for Postgres, Dynamo DB on cloud environment. Prepare mapping documents and project documents.
Maintain data model. Propose outline of project improvement by performance tuning.
Propose ideas for implementation of new technology by analyzing, exploring and measuring project output value.
Identify the architecture, infrastructure and interfaces to data sources, tools supporting automated data loads, security concerns, analytic models, and data visualization.
Create DDL to install new and updated objects in the database.
Coordinate with team members on progress of DDL execution. Ensure the database implementation activities are completed within timeline.
Meet with stakeholders to normalize database and improve overall performance of the application and database environment.
Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in Computer Science, Applied Mathematics, Electronics Engineering or related field of Engineering with 5 years of progressive experience or Master’s degree with 3 years of experience
Must have experience in Oracle, MySQL, SQL Server, Postgres, Hadoop, Erwin, Power BI, Toad, SQL Server Management Studio, SQL Workbench, Dbeaver.
