About Exact Medicare

Company Overview

Exact Medicare was founded with a clear vision: to simplify the complex world of Medicare for retirees and provide them with the confidence they need to make informed healthcare decisions. What started as a humble operation with a deep understanding of the challenges retirees face—endless mail, confusing options, and relentless calls—has since grown into something truly special. Today, we’re proud to be recognized as the fastest growing Medicare brokerage firm in America. We’ve expanded nationwide, bringing together some of the most trusted agencies in the country. Hundreds of independent licensed sales agents have joined our ranks, and we’ve attracted world-class talent to our corporate team. As we’ve come together and joined forces on this amazing journey, we’re all empowered by our core values, which drive everything we do.

Our Core Values

  • Extreme Ownership: We take ownership of our actions and responsibilities, delivering the best possible results for our clients.
  • Above Reproach: We uphold the highest standards of integrity and ethics in all interactions and decisions.
  • Culture of Candor: We foster a culture of open and honest communication, valuing ideas and feedback to continuously improve.
  • Atomic Growth: We are committed to continuous personal and organizational growth to better serve our clients and community.

Position Overview

Are you the kind of person who reads the fine print and enjoys it? Do you thrive on making sure every "i" is dotted and every "t" is crossed? If the words "compliance wizard" sound like they could go on your business card, then we’ve got the perfect job for you.

As our People Operations Compliance Specialist, you’ll be the backbone of our People Ops team when it comes to staying on the right side of laws, policies, and best practices. You’ll be the one who keeps us in check (and out of trouble), making sure everything from employee files to workplace policies is compliant and airtight.

Here’s the deal: you’ll dive into the world of employment laws, audits, and company policies, ensuring we’re not just up to code but setting the gold standard. You’ll train others, review practices, and be the go-to person for all things compliance-related. If something’s out of order, you’ll spot it before anyone else and get it back on track like a pro. Here’s an idea of what you’ll do here.

  • Make sure we’re following every HR law and regulation to the letter (because fines are not our idea of fun).
  • Keep our policies and handbooks updated and easy to understand for everyone.
  • Conduct audits like the compliance detective you are, ensuring nothing slips through the cracks.
  • Partner with HR and leadership to make processes smooth, compliant, and people friendly.
  • Lead training sessions to ensure everyone knows the rules and plays fair.

We’re looking for someone who’s detail-oriented, loves a good checklist, and can communicate complex legal stuff in a way even your grandma would understand. If you’re ready to join a team that values doing things right, we’d love to hear from you!

Job Duties

  • Monitor and enforce adherence to federal, state, and local employment laws, including FMLA, FLSA, ADA, and EEO requirements.
  • Create and implement a comprehensive performance management process for all departments and areas of the organization
  • Review, revise, and implement People Operations policies and employee handbooks to reflect current laws and

best practices.

  • Conduct internal investigations into compliance violations, workplace complaints, or policy breaches, and recommend corrective actions.
  • Regularly audit employee records, payroll processes, and People Operations systems to ensure compliance with company policies and regulations.
  • Ensure proper documentation and record-keeping practices to comply with legal and company standards and prepare compliance reports as needed.
  • Develop and deliver training programs to educate employees and management on compliance-related topics, such as anti-discrimination and harassment prevention.
  • Stay informed on changes in employment laws and compliance standards and proactively adjust policies and practices to reflect those updates.

Minimum Qualifications

  • At least 3–5 years of experience in HR compliance, employee relations, or a related HR role.
  • Strong understanding of federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations, such as FMLA, FLSA, ADA, and EEO.
  • Experience interpreting policies, resolving compliance issues, and recommending corrective actions.
  • Proven ability to manage complex documentation, conduct audits, and identify discrepancies with accuracy and thoroughness.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, Legal Studies, or a related field is preferred but not required
  • Professional certifications such as SHRM-CP/SHRM-SCP, PHR/SPHR, or Certified Compliance and Ethics Professional (CCEP) are often valued
