Position Overview

As our People Operations Coordinator, you’ll be the behind-the-scenes hero of our People Ops team. You’ll make sure everything from hiring to employee engagement runs like a well-oiled machine. Need to track down paperwork? No problem. Want to help make the employee experience amazing? That’s your jam. Basically, if it involves people and processes, you’re on it!
Job Duties
- Respond to verification requests from third parties, including lenders, background check agencies, and government entities, while maintaining confidentiality and compliance.
- Manage and process wage garnishments, subpoenas, child support orders, and other legal employment-related documents in coordination with payroll and legal teams.
- Enter, update, and maintain accurate employee information in HRIS systems, ensuring data integrity and confidentiality.
- Serve as the first point of contact for employee questions related to People Ops policies, payroll, benefits, and general inquiries—escalating complex issues as needed.
- Process People-related invoices, track expenses, and ensure accurate billing for vendors, benefits providers, and other HR services.
- Support various People Ops initiatives, such as audits, process optimization, and compliance updates, to improve the efficiency and effectiveness of people operations.
- Maintain and organize employee records, ensuring compliance with company policies and legal retention requirements.
- Support the corporate onboarding process for new hires, including paperwork completion, system setup, and coordination with internal teams to ensure a seamless experience.
Minimum Qualifications
- Experience in HR/People operations, Customer Service, or a related professional support role.
- Ability to understand complexities of employment laws, document retention policies, court orders (e.g., wage garnishments), and general People Operations best practices.
- Ability to effectively handle employee inquiries, explain People Ops policies, and escalate complex issues as needed.
- Experience working with HRIS systems, payroll software, and Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook) for data management and reporting.
- Proven ability to handle sensitive documents, manage multiple tasks, track invoices, and ensure compliance with company and legal requirements.
- Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field is preferred but not required
