Home Builder Business Development Summary:
We are currently seeking a talented and experienced Business Development Executive to build our home builder survey business for production and large volume home builders in greater Houston, TX market.
Requirements
Home Builder Business Development Executive Responsibilities:
- Actively support and model Exacta’s 4 Strategic Pillars including Dramatic Profitable Growth; Excellent Client Experience; Being a Great Place to Work, and Executional Excellence.
- Aggressively prospect and maintain a proactive new business development pipeline targeting key decision makers within the production home builder industry, including but not limited to vice presidents, purchasing managers, area managers, vendor coordinators, and superintendents.
- Employ traditional lead/opportunity generation activities including cold calling, internal/external referrals, direct digital outreach of promotional packages, local market networking events, and industry event participation.
- Build market-level strategic Sales Plans, and for individual prospects maintain a robust sales pipeline/funnel.
- Consistently meet/exceed designated sales targets.
- Maintain daily client information and sales activity in Exacta’s Hubspot CRM, including weekly one-on-one reporting on Top 25 opportunities, next steps for progressing sales cycle, and updates on previous communications with key decision makers.
- Prioritize activities and territory management to ensure optimum penetration and profitability, including developing strategic action plans with 70% of activity focused on out-bound, face to face interaction.
- Build, develop and leverage a network of channel partners and complimentary service partners to improve sales process.
- Craft and deliver compelling proposal packages and presentation both in-person and digitally.
- Provide exceptional customer service and account level relationship owner.
- Manage special projects and related research with enthusiasm and strong work ethic.
- Perform all duties as assigned to meet business needs in a safe, ethical, and professional manner.
Home Builder Business Development Executive Skills and Experience:
- 5 years of experience in a business development role targeting the home builder industry, or similar time spent building relationships with key home builder industry decision makers.
- Verified acknowledgement of previous exceptional sales or industry performance (e.g., exceeding quota, President’s Club, etc.).
- Formal sales or customer service training.
- High energy with a “sense of urgency” and a “take charge” attitude including self-motivation.
- Excellent communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills in the English language with ability to connect across multiple layers of an organization including leadership.
- A demonstrated ability to operate with grace under pressure, including positive response to coaching and commitment to self-development.
- Excellent MS Office skills.
- CRM experience, preferably Hubspot.
- Through a constant presence, becomes aware of changes in a customer’s organization and alters sales plans accordingly.
- Able to recognize the various stages of opportunities, recognize buying signals, can effectively trial close and is able to close or for the next step in the sales process.
- Well organized, able to handle multiple tasks at once.
