The Manufacturing Engineer Intern will gain exposure to medical device production by supporting engineering initiatives that enhance product quality, process efficiency, and manufacturing capabilities. This role offers hands-on learning in a dynamic environment focused on continuous improvement and cross-functional collaboration.
Key Responsibilities
- Support design, development and manufacturing of product tooling and fixturing.
- Become familiar with CNC mills, lathes, and EDMs.
- Create and document machining work instructions, operations set up sheets and perform process verifications.
- Apply sound engineering problem-solving techniques to product improvement and maintenance tasks including design, analysis, material selection, inspection requirements and manufacturing process requirements.
- Know and apply the Quality System and any appropriate Federal and International standards.
- Assist and support other employees, teams, and sales personnel as necessary.
Education:
- Pursuing a bachelor’s or master’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Biomedical Engineering, Industrial Engineering or equivalent from an accredited institution requiredF
- ust have a basic understanding of theoretical technical principles in the following areas: mechanical drafting, geometrical dimensioning and tolerancing, computer aided design, engineering statics and dynamics, mechanics of materials, mechanical engineering design, materials, and technical writing.
