About the Opportunity:
Reporting to the Corporate Controller, the Manager of Revenue and Technical Accounting is responsible for revenue recognition and compliance with accounting standards. Serving as a subject matter expert for revenue recognition under ASC 606, this role collaborates with financial leadership to ensure that revenue is accurately tracked and reported.
Qualified candidates will have 5 years of revenue experience, extensive knowledge of generally accepted accounting principles, and the ability to draft memos and prepare financial reports based on technical accounting research and analysis of databases and accounting records.

Responsibilities
Note: Other duties may be assigned.
- Collaborate with the billing and accounting teams as a subject matter expert on ASC 606 and company revenue recognition policies
- Review customer contracts for proper revenue recognition in accordance with company policy and revenue recognition accounting standards
- Lead the organization’s technical accounting efforts, research complex transactions, and prepare technical memos
- Ensure correct application of internal controls related to revenue recognition policies
- Prepare position papers, work with external auditors, and maintain continued compliance
- Regularly run comprehensive revenue reports, lead the company in revenue recognition, and assess for process improvements based on business objectives
- Prepare end of month reconciliations
- Assist the SEC Reporting Manager and work closely with financial leadership to ensure the thorough understanding and communication of business activities and results
- Generate data-driven reports based on insight gained through database review in support of management initiatives
- Support revenue transactions in accordance with GAAP by providing audit documentation
- Estimate future revenue in support of the finance department’s monthly budgets
- Document and maintain revenue transaction records, assess for trends, and provide recommendations to leadership based on findings
- Track company sales performance, review previous sales data, and ensure revenue recognition criteria are met
- Support general accounting functions, including preparation of journal entries, balance sheet reconciliations, and accrual reviews
Qualifications
- Minimum of 5 years’ progressive experience in an accounting role
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field of study
- CPA license required
- Expertise in revenue recognition, forecasting, and accounting best practices
- Strong knowledge of GAAP and ASC 606
- Experience drafting and reviewing technical memos
- Knowledge of technical SEC reporting
- Excellent analytical skills
- Effective problem-solving skills in a fast paced and rapidly changing environment
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills including ability to provide training to other departments as well as staff and new employees
- Must be proficient in Microsoft Office Suite with advanced Excel skills, including PowerPivot
- Quadax experience strongly desired
- Structured Query Language skills strongly desired
Salary range: $150,000 - $175,000
